RLZ Engineering offers engine building services for those who want to achieve motor perfection but do not wish to spend the necessary time or purchase the necessary tools to achieve the “flawless” build.
Your Engine Build
At RLZ, your engine build starts with you. We will work with you to understand your goals, and we will provide advice on all critical engine specifications including cylinder head design, piston design, camshaft profile, engine bearings, and even which engine oil is best for your application.
Precision Machining
After your goals and engine specifications are finalized, RLZ performs in-house machining including 5-axis simultaneous CNC cylinder head porting (see our cylinder head service), engine block and cylinder head truing operations, ultra precise valve seat machining using Newen GII seat and guide machine. Parts and clearances are measured and all necessary machining, adjustments and test fitments are performed. Nothing is as important as precision machining. That is why we heavily invest in state of the art machining equipment--this provides your engine that extra edge.
Flawless Assembly
Next, final assembly is performed in a clean room environment. Large parts are jet washed in an industrial parts washer and small parts are hand cleaned. We then perform “final parts prep” including deburring, cylinder wall prep, ring gapping, surface prep, bearing micro fitment, and all final checks. Your engine is assembled using dedicated engine building tools and with an “engine builders’ touch.”
